I am aware that this is a super short entry that really does not go with my current Autumn theme at all, but I have recently fallen in love with Bahama Mamas and felt that it would be a shame not to share them. I went to visit a bestie of mine (Laura Quinn) last weekend, and she made me one of these. They taste just like pina coladas with cherry flavour added. I am really excited to try making a frozen version in the future because I am sure it will be even more amazing.
These were made for people like myself who cannot stand the bitter taste of alcohol and must have it masked by fruity, sugary deliciousness. I have to admit that I have had three in the past week (including the one that Laura made for me). I am out of control, so it will be a relief when I run out of the ingredients to make these.
2 oz. coconut rum
1 oz. pina colada mix
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. orange juice
1/2 oz. grenadine syrup
Mix all ingredients and serve. It’s that simple!
