I have a few entries for things that I made ages ago hanging around on my computer, and I am not entirely sure that I can remember how I made them so we will see how this goes. I bought my first real pineapple ever a couple weeks ago, and I was really excited about it! I usually go the easy route and buy pineapple that has already been cut up for me, but it turns out that it’s not nearly as hard as it looks to chop up a pineapple.
When Kevin and I made these smoothies, we made the mistake of using lots of ice so they were slightly watery. I would suggest freezing the fruit before making the smoothies so you don’t have to use as much ice. I also would have added some pineapple juice, which I didn’t do the first time around. I am going to write out the recipe below as though I did both of those things so don’t judge me.
Pineapple Banana Smoothies (with Coconut Rum)
1 banana, sliced and frozen
1 whole pineapple, cut into chunks and frozen
1 ½ ounces coconut rum
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
1 Tablespoon honey
However much ice you need to get it to the consistency you want (probably about 1 ½ cups)
