30 Semi-Healthy Days - Day 11: Citrus Green Tea Latte

  1. Combine the water, sugar, lemon peel and mint in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisking until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Combine the matcha powder, hot water (make sure the water is super hot since your milk won't be heated up too much) and 2 teaspoons citrus mint simple syrup (more or less depending on how sweet you like it) in a mug. Reserve the rest of the simple syrup for future lattes!
  4. Froth the milk using the method described above (put in mason jar, shake for 30 seconds and microwave for 30 seconds).
  5. Save the foam at the top of the mason jar and add the rest of the milk to the tea, stirring to combine. Top with the reserved foam.
