Banana Bread Brownies

Ingredients:

Instructions:

For the banana bread brownies
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 9x9 baking pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the sugar, brown sugar, eggs and melted butter.
  3. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  4. Stir in the cocoa powder and flour until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chunks.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 325 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes. Check by inserting a toothpick. It should not come out completely clean so that the brownies are slightly gooey, but it should not be covered in wet batter either.
  7. Let cool for 15 minutes and serve a little warm with maple whipped cream.
For the maple whipped cream
  1. Beat heavy cream with a hand or stand mixer until soft peaks form.
  2. Add maple syrup and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Serve a heaping spoonful of whipped cream with each brownie.
