Chocolate Overload Cookies

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Cream together your shortening, butter and sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer (or using a hand mixer) for 5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix for another minute.
  3. Add dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chunks or chips.
  5. Line a pan with parchment paper and scoop cookie dough into 1 inch balls onto the pan. Place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes while you preheat then oven to prevent the cookies from spreading when baking.
  6. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  7. Place cookies a couple of inches apart on parchment lined cookie sheets and bake for 9 minutes.*
  8. Drizzle melted dark chocolate over the tops of the cookies and serve warm.
