Cookies & Cream Bachelor Buttons

  1. Cookies & Cream Bachelor Buttons
  2. Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar with a mixer until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing to combine.
  4. Add the flour, baking powder and salt, mixing just until combined.
  5. Add the oreos, and mix with your mixer until the oreos are broken up into little bits.
  6. Refrigerate the dough for about 2 hours before baking to prevent them from flattening out in the oven.
  7. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Roll dough into small balls (about 1/2 inch) and place about 1 inch apart on the baking sheets.
  9. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 9-10 minutes or until edges are just starting to brown.
  10. Let cool completely before frosting.
  11. Cookies & Cream Frosting
  12. Combine the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and milk with a mixer until smooth.
  13. Add the oreos and use your mixer to break them up into little pieces the same way you did with the cookie dough.
  14. Top half of the cookies with a generous dollop of frosting and top with another cookie.
