Cookies & Cream Bachelor Buttons
Ingredients:
- Cookies & Cream Bachelor Buttons
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 oreos
- Cookies & Cream Frosting
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 Tablespoon milk
- 8 oreos
Instructions:

- Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar with a mixer until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing to combine.
- Add the flour, baking powder and salt, mixing just until combined.
- Add the oreos, and mix with your mixer until the oreos are broken up into little bits.
- Refrigerate the dough for about 2 hours before baking to prevent them from flattening out in the oven.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll dough into small balls (about 1/2 inch) and place about 1 inch apart on the baking sheets.
- Bake at 375 degrees F. for 9-10 minutes or until edges are just starting to brown.
- Let cool completely before frosting.
- Cookies & Cream Frosting
- Combine the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and milk with a mixer until smooth.
- Add the oreos and use your mixer to break them up into little pieces the same way you did with the cookie dough.
- Top half of the cookies with a generous dollop of frosting and top with another cookie.
