Frozen Mango Margaritas
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces olmeca altos reposado tequila*
- 3 ounces lime juice
- 3 ounces agave or simple syrup
- 2 cups frozen mango
- Coarse sea salt, lime zest chipotle powder for the rim*
- Lime slices to wet the rim of the glass
Instructions:
- Add the tequila lime juice, agave and half of the frozen mango to a blender.
- Pulse the blender to break up the frozen mango.
- Add the remaining frozen mango, pulse to break up again and then blend on high until smooth.
- Combine sea salt, lime zest and chipotle powder on a shallow dish. I use the zest of 1 lime and about 1/4 teaspoon of chipotle powder with enough salt to fill the dish. Adjust the lime zest and chipotle powder amounts to get the amount of spiciness that you like.
- Use a slice of lime to wet the rim of each margarita glass. Place each glass upside down on the prepared dish and rotate to line the rim with the chipotle lime salt mixture.
- Pour frozen mango margaritas into each glass and serve.
