Iced Peach Green Tea
Ingredients:
- So this was actually just supposed to be peach tea, but I had a really hard time finding peaches that were ripe enough at the grocery store. I squeezed every peach in that joint! Please don’t read too much into that comment. I ended up using a mixture of nectarines and peaches for the tea. Nectarines and peaches taste extremely similar so I don’t think it made much difference to use a mix.
- I made this tea really sweet because I am a fan of sugar things, but this would be just as delicious if you skipped all of the sugar I included and just used the peach nectar and peach slices for some sweetness. You could even blend up the peaches and skip the peach nectar altogether if you don’t want any added sugar.
- Iced Peach Green Tea
- 8 cups water
- 8 green tea bags
- 1 can peach nectar
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 3 white peaches or nectarines, sliced
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a boil in a large pot over high heat. Remove from the heat once it reaches a boil and add the tea bags. Leave it to steep for 10 minutes or so.
- Remove the tea bags and add the peach nectar, sugar, and honey, whisking until everything is combined and the sugar is dissolved. Allow the mixture to cool for 20 minutes or so before adding it to a pitcher.
- Drop the peaches into a large pitcher and pour the tea over them. Let the tea cool entirely before putting it in the fridge, covered, so you don’t get too much condensation. Serve cold over ice!
