Maple Butter Blondies

Ingredients:

Instructions:

For the blondies
  1. Grease an 8×8 baking pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.*
  2. Whisk together melted butter, maple syrup and brown sugar.
  3. Whisk in the egg and vanilla.
  4. Add dry ingredients, stirring just until combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate, saving a few to sprinkle on top.
  6. Spread batter in a greased 8×8 baking pan and sprinkle with a few extra chocolate chips.*
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20-25 minutes or until just browned on the edges, and a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs clinging to it.*
For the maple butter
  1. Place the maple syrup and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until the mixture comes to a boil and thickens, about 5 minutes. Add the cream and continue to cook for 3 minutes before removing from the heat.
  2. Serve blondies with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of maple butter on top.
