Maple Meltaways
Ingredients:
- Maple Meltaways
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons maple extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 dozen pecan halves
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Add the sugar, flour, salt and maple extract and mix with a hand mixer until all combined. I ended up with the crumbly mixture below and had to use my hands from there.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoonful about 1 inch apart onto cookie sheets. Gently press a pecan half into the top of each cookie.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.
