Orange Oreo Truffles
Ingredients:
- Orange Oreo Truffles
- 1 package oreos
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips (or any chocolate you like)
- Cocoa powder
- Sweetened, flaked coconut, toasted (just put on a tray in the oven at 325 degrees F for 5 to 10 minutes)
Instructions:
- Run the oreos through a food processor until you just have very fine crumbs.
- Combine the oreos, cream cheese, orange zest and orange juice in a large bowl until completely incorporated (you don't want to see any white from the cream cheese). I used a flexible, rubber spatula to do the mixing, but you could just use your hands if you're brave.
- Roll the mixture into small, 1-inch balls and place on a large tray covered with parchment or wax paper. If you are going to dip any of them in melted chocolate, put those ones in the fridge for a while to set. Leave the other ones out so the toppings will stick to them.
- Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or toasted coconut or dip in melted chocolate. I'm sure there are countless other toppings you could use for these as well.
