Sweet & Spicy Fall Candied Nuts
Ingredients:
- 1 large egg white
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- A pinch of cardamom (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 cups salted, mixed nuts
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk the egg white with 1 tablespoon of water in a large bowl until frothy.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar, pumpkin pie spice, cardamom, and cayenne.
- Toss the nuts in the egg white mixture, then stir in the sugar mixture and Worcestershire sauce.
- Spread the nuts over the parchment paper-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes (shuffling them around every 10 minutes or so) until golden. Cool completely, then break into apart.
